Questions about Card Control? No worries. You've come to the right place!

  • How to get started with Card Controls.

    Sign into your Online Branch or Mobile Banking account. Click "Card Controls" and accept the Terms and Conditions. If you do not have an Online or Mobile Banking account set up, you'll need to do that before enabling Card Controls. To sign up for Online Branch, click here
  • What is Card Controls?

    This free service allows you complete versatility and control over your card transactions. Turn your card on and off, block certain types of merchants, certain types of transactions, and even set a spending limit. It's up to you! You'll also be able to set alerts, so you stay in the know when it comes to your money.
  • How do I turn OFF card alerts?

    In Card Controls, turn OFF each alert in the individual menus for Merchant Type, Transaction Type, Spend Limits, and Location Type.
  • Can I use Card Controls to notify IHMVCU about my travel plans?

    No, travel notifications cannot be submitted via Card Controls at this time. Please contact us 309-793-6200  before you travel, so your card activity is not flagged as fraud.
  • How do I customize my card alerts and specify alert types?

    Tap on Alerts and set your preferences by Merchant Type, Transaction Type, and Spend Limits. You may also restrict your card from international use in Location Type.
  • If I turn my card off, will my recurring transactions be blocked?

    No, your recurring transactions will not be blocked. They will continue to be processed, even when your card is turned off.
  • Can I manage Card Controls on more than one Card?

    Yes. From the main Card Controls screen, select a card from a list of cards on your IHMVCU account.
  • How quickly does the ON/OFF status (or other limits) on my card take effect?

    Card Controls changes are effective instantly, so you have complete control of your card. Pretty cool right? 
  • How do I turn my card OFF, then back ON?

    When you get to the main screen in Card Controls, tap on the toggle switch to turn your Card ON or OFF.
